ZitatV2.18 technical release 2014-02-14
Fixed a problem where communication problems within the device stopped the device to respond to pressed buttons or trackball movements.
Under some rare circumstances the USB driver on the host missed a button or slider event. Each button and slider event is now sent twice to avoid these situations.
The polling rate of the HID-interface, which handles Speechmike proprietary information, has been changed from 8msec intervals to 4msec intervals to avoid occasional connecting problems with hosts, where a Speechmike-aware application is already running.
The handling of audio settings has been changed in V2.15, which causes occasional delays when starting speech recognition with Dragon Dictate. V2.18 reverts now to the former method to avoid these delays.
Linux does not poll unused USB interfaces of a device (which is against specification). This can cause problems, when no Speechmike-aware application is running, and a button is pressed unintentionally. In that case the Speechmike will wait until a Speechmike-aware application is started, and will not react to trackball movements till then. This has been fixed.
A level limiter has been implemented in record mode to reduce signal overdrive.
